Lal Lee Singer/Songwriter.
Lal Lee is one of Ireland’s finest singer/songwriters and performers. In addition to a strong vocal delivered with true emotion and passion, Lal’s music crosses many genres with his own unique style. Lal’s ability to mix genres allows him to deliver a very professional live show suitable for all musical tastes.
Originally from Granard Co. Longford, Lal has lived in Mullingar for many years now. Writing and performing music has always been Lal’s life.The Lee family are one of Ireland’s most highly regarded musical families. Lal’s love for music started at a very young age. As a teenager Lal worked with the cream of Irish musicians. He has played with members of the RTE concert orchestra, which was conducted then by the late Noel Kelehan.
Playing bass guitar with Margo and Daniel O Donnell they toured extensively across Ireland, Europe and the USA.
Furthermore Lal played in Lee and Quo, The Prairie Ramblers and Porter Row. Family is so important in Lal’s life and within these band he played music with his brothers Connie(RIP) and Pat. Porter Row seen the next generation of Lee talent join Lal and Pat on the road. Over the years Lal was signed to Polydor Records, CMR Records and Foam Records.
The Solo Albums.
First of all having written many original songs Lal adds these to his setlist in his live shows. The two solo albums are ‘Emptiness’ and ‘You’re The One’ and are available on iTunes. Standout tracks are ‘Emptiness’,’Eyes of an Old Man and ‘True Friend’. Both albums are produced and arranged by Lal & Alan Lee. The albums are distributed and promoted by Monix Music.
Finally Lal performed his own song titled ‘The Sligo Dancer’ on Vincent Brown’s show ‘The Peoples Debate’ on TV3.
