The Fence is Mullingar’s premiere live venue. The Venue is a trendy cocktail bar and late night venue. Catering for a mature customer The Fence is strictly over 21’s. Hermitage Green – A Profile.
After the friends played a few sessions of traditional Irish music together, Hermitage Green formed in July 2010. Hermitage Green is an Irish acoustic folk rock band. The band is from Limerick. 2015 the band signed for Sony Music Ireland Entertainment and released their first studio album ‘Save Your Soul’. ‘Save Your Soul’ was released in 2016 and was produced by Philip Magee (The Academic, Kodaline, The Script & Declan O’Rourke).
Within the album influences from ‘Coldplay’ and ‘Mumford and Sons’ are apparent. ‘My Only Wish’, ‘Magnificent’ and ‘Not Your Lover’ are standout tracks on a very well produced album.

Touring extensively across Ireland, UK and Australia they have built up a loyal fan base. The band have played alongside Gavin James, Josh Ritter, Walking on Cars and The Pogues.
Furthermore to Hermitage Green play the Fence, presented by Dolan’s Limerick they will play King John’s Castle, Nicholas Street, Limerick. Also alongside Manic Street Preachers, The Coronas, Tom Odell and The Riptide Movement they will play IndiePendence #indie17. Indie17 will take place from 4-6 August at Deer Farm, Mitchelstown, Cork.
With a very unique style and a unique arrangement of instruments to see Hermitage Green play The Fence will be a huge chance to see a band that will become accustomed to a bigger stage. The unique arrangement of instrument include banjo, djembe, guitar and bodhran works at a level within a band seeking a world stage.
